See what one reviewer had to say about this design.

Windjammer II began her life in Sydney as a hull and deck.  She was one of the rare Compass 38’s available, possessing timeless good looks that still turned heads. The Cap’n was in love!

The hull was solid fibreglass with epoxy barrier coat and decks are cored for strength and weight distribution.  She had a long fin keel with skeg-mounted rudder and wheel steering made her a delight to sail.  She was sloop rigged with single spreaders and roller furling genoa.  The Cap’n set her up so that she was strongly built for offshore sailing and could also be sailed efficiently single handed.
Nice Lines

Windjammer was moved from Sydney to country Victoria where she stood enjoying rural ambience.  Later, and as work progressed, she moved to within a stone’s throw of Bass Strait.  Taking a liking for salt water, Windjammer finally plunged at Queenscliff, not before taking a bottle of bubbly on the nose.
